Floor Plan With HEAD  High Lighted

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The head is located immediately in front of the master stateroom
between bulkheads 2 & 3.

Bulkheads 2 & 3 are full bulkheads, 42" apart that extend fully
athwartship.

There is ONE (1) head using the present layout which is of
adequate size so as not to feel cramped.

The head was designed with a full size, dedicated, stand up
shower, approximately 30" x 42", a vanity, and a Lavac head in
mind.

The Lavac includes a Henderson MKV hand pump which provides a
lot of plumbing flexibility.  The MKV can evacuate the head or
will provide overboard pumping of the head or holding tank, if
in a legal area.

A 65 Gal holding tank of my design as well as a vanity complete
with a modest medicine cabinet and large mirror completes the
head design.

(See TANK for holding tank design details)

(A pad lockable container will be needed for serious drugs)

The ability to empty the holding tank when at sea shall be
included.

The sub sole of this compartment consists of two(2), 4 ply, 1/2"
CDX plywood sheets as a core and covered with knitted glass and
epoxy on both sides before final installation.

The sub sole was then glassed to the hull and bulkheads as
required.

The head compartment occupies about 2/3 of the available space
and lies to starboard.

The remainder is allocated to a passageway and a space for a
freezer/reefer and lies to port.

The holding tank has been positioned and sealed to the hull with
urethane foam, then glassed over, thus no critters can get
behind the tank.

The Lavac has not been purchased nor has the vanity been built;
however, the S/S bowl for the vanity and mirror have been
acquired along with the shower and vanity faucets.

The game plan was to paint the entire head with 2 part LP, then

add final white oak trim.
