The deck is a sandwich core design.

The external skins are epoxy and knitted glass.

The core is 3/4" thick Divinycell foam.

The deck lamination schedule is as follows:

INTERIOR SKIN:

There are four (4) layers of 24 Oz, double bias (+/- 45) knitted
glass, forming a 96 Oz laminate.

CORE:

Dininycell is a better choice than Airex for a deck core since
the superior energy absorbsion feature of Airex is not required.

The core is 3/4" thick Divinycell foam with the following
exceptions:

1) 15 lb urethane foam for the windlass area.

2) 15 lb urethane foam for the main and mizzen mast areas.

3) 15 lb urethane foam for the forepeak area where for the inner
forestay.

4) Two (2), 1/2", 4 ply, plywood for the mainsail track mounting
area as well as all winches except halyard winches.

EXTERIOR SKIN:

There are four (4) layers of 24 Oz, double bias (+/- 45) knitted
glass, forming a 96 Oz laminate.

FORE PEAK HATCH RISER:

There is a 36"x36" hatch, complete with a lift off hatch located
on the fore deck providing access to the chain/forepeak locker.

This access hatch has a 12" riser above the deck and is again of
a sandwich type construction.

The hatch cover is also of sandwich construction and thus is
light weight yet strong.

The riser insures that it will require at least a 12" green
water wave across the bow to get into the locker.

AFT HATCH RISERS:

There is a 28"x40" hatch, complete with a lift off hatch located
on the aft deck providing access to the aft storage locker.

There is also a 18"x28" hatch, complete with a lift off hatch
located on the aft deck providing access to the aft propane
locker.

These access hatches have 6" risers above the deck and are again
of a sandwich type construction.

The hatch covera are also of sandwich construction and thus are
light weight yet strong.

The risers insure that it will require at least a 6" green water
wave across the stern to get into the locker.

COCKPIT:

This is a center cockpit design located directly amidships.

The cockpit area is basically 16 ft wide and 10 ft fore and aft.

Port and starboard seating is accomodated by 92" long seats.
They will provide a good place for sleeping bags in warm
weather.

Athwartships seating is again provided by full width, approx 12
ft, seating.

There are immense storage lockers behind each seat that would be
suitable for light weight items.

The cockpit sole contains a lift out hatch cover over a 32"x72"
opening.

This opening is directly over the engine to provide engine
access as well as providing a means to get a king size mattress
on board.

The deck consists of a 72 OZ bottom skin, covered with 3/4"
Divinycell, then another 72 0z of glass for a top skin.
