A lot of thought went into the reefer system design.
Having hydraulic available opens up a lot of possibilities.
A dual circuit reefer system using a low cost packaged reefer,
say 1/3 HP, 120 VAC driven from a dedicated inverter would
maintain the reefer while on the hook and a hydraulically driven
main system handles the main cooling of the reefer system.
THis is a real world solution that has been in use on a Westsail
42 for several years in Mexico.
The design details for the cold plates ans well as the
insulation are still fluid.
Product improvements in this industry are happening every day.
A lot of research still needs to be done; however, there is
adequate space for the refrigerator/freezer system.
