The Floor Plan With The SALON High Lighted ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The main salon is immediately forward of the machinery compartment
between bulkheads 4 & 5.

Bulkheads 4 & 5 are full bulkheads, 110" apart that extend fully
athwartship.

There are four (4) floors providing 5 spaces under the sole.

There is a full width shelf holding four (4) custom battery boxes that
will hold 4,T-105, 6VDC, golf cart batteries for a total of 16
batteries spanning the space between bulkhead 4 and the adjacent floor
approximately 20" forward.

This shelf is built the same way as the sole in the head or plywood
core, glass/epoxy skins, then glassed to hull and bulkheads.

The batteries are cabled together to form 12 VDC units which are then
connected to a 1/4"x2"x72", 600 amp copper bus bars retrieved from an old
switch board.(See THE ELECTRICS)

Forward of the battery compartment, 6 potable water tanks(3/side) have
been built using the same procedures as used to build the fuel tanks
in the next 3 spaces.

Each tank contains a fill, vent, and 2 return process connections
mounted in an access hatch on top of the tank as well as two (2)
baffles.

A bronze thru hull complete with a bronze ball valve provides the
potable water system connection.

Again, any tank can be pumped to any other tank by proper valve
selection.

All potable water valves are 1/2" bronze ball valves and are
installed along with required hoses.

These 6 tanks provide about 300 gallons of potable water tankage.

Forward of the potable water tanks, on the centerline, is located the
main mast support which consists of about 30 pieces of 1/2" of
plywood, encased in glass/epoxy and edge mounted to the hull.

A steel plate is then bonded and screwed to the glass/plywood support.

The hydraulic oil tank is located on the starboard side of this same
compartment.

The hydraulic oil tank is built the same way as all the other tanks,
and holds about 18-20 gal of oil.

I prefer a deck stepped mast and a compression post; however, that
part of the construction has not been started.

The cabinetry, finish sole, book shelves, etc, remain to be completed
in the main salon.
